Revisiting what excites me about previous projects while taking part in the Newlyn Professional Landscape Programme, I realise it's about taking a specific site or idea and playing with it across multimedia but always beginning with drawing.  This work looks at the drama, ruin-lust, grotesque beauty of an abandoned granite quarry.

It introduces a element of hope with the solitary, first-in, birch trees and plays with creating new man-made objects of art informed by rejected and scarred granite.
