dawdle and draw details

I currently run two dawdle and draw walks monthly over the summer period while the weather is warm and hopefully dry! These are usually on the Friday and Saturday of the same weekend. They are 3 - 3.5 hours long and are usually held in a different location each month. If you are interested in coming along, please sign up on Eventbrite. The link for each walk can be found below.

  • The cost per person is £22.00 this year.

  • The maximum number per walk is 10 people. The minimum number for a walk to run is 5 people.

  • The minimum age for the walk is 11 years and all children under the age of 16 years need to be accompanied by an adult. 

  • You will need to make your own way there.  I may be able to give a lift from Ashburton if necessary.

  • I will provide A3 drawing boards, clips, some paper, masking tape, charcoal, pencils and bits and bobs.

  • You are very welcome to bring your own art equipment and paper as well.

  • The walk length will be between 1.5 - 2.5 miles, this will vary depending on location, the group and what we find interesting to stop, look at and draw.  

  • You will need to be able to walk on uneven ground and carry your own drawing board and equipment.  

  • If you have any concerns about access, fitness, mobility then please contact me and we can arrange something to suit your needs and requirements.

  • Please bring suitable outdoor clothing, walking footwear, a hat and sunscreen for the moor.  The weather can change very quickly. 

  • If you have any medical conditions that may affect your experience, please let me know on the pre-walk consent form that I will send to you on booking.

  • I am a qualified hill and moorland walk leader, I am fully insured and am a qualified outdoor first aider.

  • I have a masters degree in contemporary art practice and have run workshops and walks in this field before.
